Frostbite stopped at the etch of the cliff. Many cats fell into their deaths over this very cliff. Most cats stay clear of this area, but Frostbite has no choice, one of the most rarest of healing plants grows hidden in these cliffs. A well kept secret handed down from HillClan medicine cat to the next. Today its Stagpaws turn to discover this secret.

Stagpaw stood a little ways away from the cliff edge. His mother had alwyas told him wat a dangerous place it was and his bigger brother had told him scary stories about it. He said that every night if you where by the cliff the spirits of the cats that had fallen down there would come and drag you over. I dono't really believe that though. I really don't. thought Stagpaw. He edged closer to Frosbite who was right at the brink of the cliff.

"OK now follow me copy my every step! Do not look down or you will get dizzy and you might fall over the edge." Frostbite mewed calmly before he padded towards the cliff and jumped over it...and disappeared! He has landed on a ledge just below the edge that led onto a narrow path. Indication with his tail to follow closely Frostbite followed the path that led to a small cave. It was dark but air was coming from out from with in. Frostbite almost had to crawl to enter it. When padded for a few tail lengths he arrived in the main cave that had a oppening in the ceiling which led Sun light in. And there in the center grew a whole wad of...catmind. "This is a well kept secret of HillClan medicine cats since many seasons. Catmint this herb is called. It is very rare but it can heal white cough and even green cough. Wile its growing lush and full like is we collect as much as we can and dry them so we can use it during Leafbare. We will take some today but not to much the plant has to last and recover for future use." Frostbite explained solemnly.

As Frostbite jumped over the cliff Stagpaw lunged forwrad trying to stop him. He looked down against Frostbite's orders. He saw the ledge below him, but he also saw the huge drop below it. Before he could think he had pushed himself down onto the ledge. He saw the small opening and followed Frostbite through. It was cool inside and the intoxicating scent of catmint hung in the air. He wanted to go roll in it but he withheld himself. When Frostbite had finished he asked, "WHat other things can it heal? Are there other kinds of sickness beside whitecough and greencough?"

"As far as we know...nope, but the beauty about being a Medicine cat is there is always room for discovery." Frostbite mewed with pride. "You can grab some of them be careful not to take to much, and I can take some of the Borage Leafs on the Way back." Frost bite mewed before he padded towards the exit.

Stagpaw bit off several of the sweet smelling leaves and asked through a mouthful of them "What is borage used for again?" Stagpaw bounded after Frostbite.

"It increases the milk production in a Queen and it helps with fever. Those to remedies can be combined by giving a Queen some with a feverish kid." He mewed over his shoulder as he clawed his way back up the cliff.
